Having just returned from ministering in the United Kingdom and the United States I was very encouraged by the thirst by churches for a fresh revelation of the manifestation of the power of the Holy Spirit.
I believe that we are entering a time of renewed expectation within the Body of Christ for revival that will spread across the globe.
Believers are looking for a fresh outpouring of God’s power that will shake the very roots of denominational and tradition that has kept the church in captivity for far to long.
I experienced hunger for the Glory as never before and saw how God was placing a deep desire in the hearts of pastors who for years have had to minister to the needs of their congregation and were never allowed the freedom of the move of the Spirit in their churches.
Yes, a new boldness has suddenly appeared and these same pastors are now speaking the Word with a fire that has set their churches aflame with a new desire to see an outpouring as in the book of Acts.
Be careful and be watchful for in the last days the enemy will come in and show himself powerful with many gullible believers seeing these outpourings as the ‘real thing’.
It will be real when the people are saved, healed and set free, not just one facet of the great commission, but all of the gifts working in unison.
The New Season
For too long we have feasted on the memories of the revivals of yesteryear. Our time of fresh revival is now!
“Arise and shine!
For your light has come!
And the glory of the LORD is raised upon you”.
- Isaiah 60:1 (NJKV)
Notice it says, ‘Arise and shine, you cannot experience revival if you are spiritually dead. The church needs to arise from its slumber before we can expect an outpouring of the Glory that Joel spoke about in his prophesy.
There has to be an expectation in our spirit to see the Glory of the Lord revealed, if we were not spiritually tuned in we would miss the time of His visitation.
Sitting back and marveling at the news of revivals breaking out elsewhere will do us very little good. We have to develop a deep desire to see the flame of God ignited in our own church.
The church has gone through a time of chasing. Chasing after every move that takes place. We need to stop running after the move in other places and ignite the spark of revival that will cause our own churches to be set ablaze. Unless we develop that hunger and desire, we will continue feasting on the crumbs and morsels that fall from the table of those new moves of God that are taking place elsewhere.
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, they will be filled”
-Matt: 5:6 (NKJV)
The way to bring on revival is through your desire and hunger for an outpouring of His Glory. I do not believe that just sitting back and being encouraged will activate a revival in your church.
We have already experienced a wonderful season of joy and refreshing and have basked in the glow of God’s almighty presence. Now God is looking for carriers of His Glory.
You and I have been selected, appointed and anointed to go forth and turn the world upside down and see a revelation of His majesty touch men and woman all over the world.
Do not just marvel at the news but experience the glory of the season of revival that is taking place.
It is there for every believer who has a desire to experience the freshness of an outpouring that God has for us.
There will be those who will question the move that is taking place right now, as a believer we need to weigh up any move to see if it lines up with the Word.
It has to be seasoned and balanced to ensure that it does not just concentrate on one gift.
If it is not! then it is up to us to come forward, step up a level and ignite a flame that will be without question be the “real thing”.
