God is getting ready to do a new thing.

That is a powerful statement of fact that God is making to His people, He is making it to the church today. Nothing, absolutely nothing has changed. That promise that your Heavenly father made to the children of Israel stands today for the church of Jesus Christ.

Hope

Living in Africa we are able to see first hand how desperate we are for a Savior. We are faced with worldwide famine and poverty on a massive scale that has seen a constant migration of starving populations from once wealthy nations.

Living life in the Spirit

The greatest desire of every believer should be spend as much time in the Spirit seeking after all that God has to offer.

The purpose of God is to build a church that will reveal His manifested glory to principalities, dominions and all creation. God wants to use you, the believer to enact these works, He is releasing His power for you to use.

God’s revealed purpose is always accompanied by His power.

• The Power of God must be present if you expect the sick to be healed.
• The Power of God must be present if you expect people to be delivered
• The Power of God must be present if you expect people to be saved.

You cannot operate in the supernatural unless the Power of God manifests itself through you under the unction of the anointing.

What is this power? It is the Holy Spirit

“...and ye shall receive power when the Holy Spirit is come upon you”
-Acts1:8

What an incredible promise. The Holy Sprit is like a computer operating system. As believers we cannot function without it.

Being born again is all very well but having an infilling of the Holy Spirit catapults us in to the supernatural realm where God reveals the glory that He has promised us.

Without the Holy Spirit there is no power.
Without the Holy Spirit there is no anointing.
Without the Holy Spirit there are no miracles.

They all have to be under the unction of the Holy Spirit before there is any activation of the power, anointing and the miracles.

God uses the Holy Spirit as a manifestation of His Power and that is when we see the great miracles that take place in the big crusades in Africa.There is always an outpouring of the Holy Spirit before the signs and wonders take place.

Going in cold and just preaching Word based messages is all very well, but unless there is a manifestation of the Holy Sprit we cannot expect to see the signs and wonders that that are expected to take place.

1.Why we need the Holy Spirit

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed;
-Luke 4:18

Now, that is a commandment that every believer has been given.

It is the Spirit that is the driving force in our lives. When you walk in the Spirit you will learn that you are walking in a way that pleases God. Paul said that when we please God we abound more. That means that we grow and grow in the abundance of God and when we are full of God we cannot be full of anything negative in our lives.

The more we grow in the Spirit the more we have full access to every promise that God has ever given.

Walking in the Spirit you will cause you to triumph. The Spirit wants to clothe you with power that you can walk in the knowledge that whatever you desire in the supernatural realm is available to you. It available to you right now, as long as your desire is strong enough.

2 How do we get it?

The first thing we have understand that unless we as believers spend time in the presence of Almighty God, we can not expect to realize the potential of the promise of the Holy Spirit.

It is only in God’s presence where we find the fullness of joy.

Life in the Spirit assures us of the fullness of God’s joy for our lives.

Become expectant! God has promised that he would send His Holy Spirit to be our comforter, our security, our motivator, and our sufficiency; all we have to do is to honor Him by spending time in His presence.

3 When can we have it?

It is available to you right now as you read this.

All you have to do is get into that place of fellowship where you are quiet before your Father and invite the presence of the Holy Spirit.

It is free; you come by the Blood of the Lamb who has already made representation on your behalf.

So, why not move in and take up the promise as written in the book of Joel “ in the last days I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh” It is yours for the asking, right now!

Heavenly Banking System

As itinerant evangelists, who live entirely by faith, we use the heavenly banking system to finance our travels and ministry I am often amazed at the amount of Gods money that is used to build massive churches. The sole aim of the church should be souls and outreach and to fulfill the great commission to take the Word of God to every nation.

Lately it seems that the vision of the church has blurred with emphases on building bigger and better and seeing how many people can be attracted to their new church.

In the heavenly economy, the “return on investment” must be represented by souls and not increased numbers.

When we invest heavily in these large cathedrals, it then becomes incumbent on the church to raise the funding to finance these endeavors. Obviously it becomes important to ensure that the attendance numbers are increased. In order to do so there is often a tendency to compromise the ministry by putting programs in place that will keep the crowds entertained and to keep them returning?

Our sole aim should be to see an increase in the move of the Holy Spirit amongst our people and we should never comprise by offering seeker sensitive programs.

The church is in recession and only a mighty outpouring of hunger and desire amongst the people is going to cause revival to break out. We have to make room for the Holy Spirit in all our meetings and give Him freedom to operate amongst the people.

When I was a young boy my father was given a generator to power the lighting and sound system while he ministered in his homeland, South Africa.

I was fortunate to see some of the greatest miracles take place on open fields where thousands upon thousands of people were saved, healed and set free. That generator cost all of $50. I can only imagine the joy that that man experienced as he stood before the throne and God pointed out the souls who were saved because of his faithfulness.

There are faithful men and woman traveling all over the world, going to far off lands to bring the Gospel to the lost who don’t have the luxury of executive travel and fine accommodation, but such is their faithfulness that the go, because they see it as a wonderful privilege to be obedient to the great commission.
